Purpose of the Informal International Platform

Drug abuse among youth is a rising concern in low-resource countries across, inter alia, Asia and Africa, where limited access to health services and prevention programmes exacerbates the problem.

The platform aims to foster partnerships among Governments, NGOs, and community organizations to strengthen local prevention initiatives.

It also will empower NGOs in the world to implement sustainable, context-specific solutions to address youth drug abuse, ultimately fostering healthier and more resilient societies, to be further linked with other regions of the world.
